networking & enterpreneurship symposium
Related to country: Kenya

Everyone is complaining about the youths sitting back and not applying for jobs. thats why the rate of unemployment is so high in kenya, youths lack ICT skills and most of them are involved in theft, drug abuse or other social norms.

Kimathi information centre is currently holding a symposium for the youth (18-35 years), that seeks to market the YOUTH ENTERPRISE FUND, courtesy of the Ministry of Youth.

The symposium will also give them an opportunity to expose women enterpreneurs through KENYA WOMEN TRUST FINANCE. I am sure that most people want to start their own businesses, but they don't know how, therefore, someone will speak on how to write proposals, to apply for grants and to make business plans.

Above all things, those who are already in business can showcase their products and make networks with their young peers. products to showcase should be innovative and designers own such as bags, shoes, t-shirts...

The symposium is set for the 24th of March 2007 at Kenya Assemblies of God -Bahati (route 23) starting from 9am-1pm. charges are 50/- per person but an extra fee 350 for those who would like to showcase their products.(this will book your table and your tent)

Any TIG parties that are interested can get in touch with me on cathryne.agallo@kimathiinformationcentre.com

Thankyou.

Drug Addiction

It's a pitty to see very inteligent young people get influenced imto drufg addiction and other social norms affecing the socieyt today.

There's nothing as painful as seeing your siblings, childhood friends and loved ones plug into drugs and shatter the dreams they had in life.

It's sad to see older people than you looking up to you for money to buy cigerattes, bhang or alcohol...it makes ne look back and wonder where all the dreams we once had went to. How dreams varnish into thin air and before you no it, you are a nobody in society.

The youths all over the world shoild be accountable for each other's life. Let's stand strong for our family members, siblings and friends. Let's fight drug addiction.. that's the only way we can se change amongst us.

Follow me..Let's be the change for a better tomorrow.
